I thought it might be a similar case to install arch on a separate USB drive. In my case I want to install Arch on the second drive.
Because I have a weak understanding that refind is more powerful when you have one physical drive but you partition it separately for Linux and MacOS. Or is it? If it is not, I prefer that option. I know refind is a nice program but I think in this case it might not even be necessary. So when I press the option button when the computer is booting, I would like to see two booting options: One for MacOS and one for Linux (I suspect that it will name it as "Windows", but that's not a problem at all.) My intention is to install Arch on the HDD. I also switched the places of the SSD and the stock HDD.
I took the optical drive out and put an SSD into the system. That's why I wanted to ask some of you what type of special measures I should take whilst installing it. Yet, I have done some changes with my hardware configuration recently. I am trying to install Arch Linux on my Macbook Pro 9,1 15".
